How could I connect my pc on my full HD tv set?

I've bought a new full HD tv set and I want to connect my pc to it to watch HD movies.
I have from my last non hd tv set cables for connecting my pc, but it seems that they don't work with HD tvs.
Is there a special cable that I should use or my tv set cannot be connected to pcs?

Hi.

Check your tv if it has DVI input (standard PC monitor cable)

If not, you can get a cable with DVI input and HDMI output

Although, if your pc doesn't have a HDMI output, ypu woun't be able to watch the movies in full HD
