How do I convert an avi file to a dvd file using nero 7 premium?

    How do I convert an avi file to a dvd file using nero 7 premium? I just can't seem to figure it out. Thanks for any help!

    Nero StartSmart > Nero Vision > Make DVD > DVD Video > Add Video Files.
    Open or drag the AVI file onto the window, then click 'Next'

    that just will just burn it to a dvd i just wanna convert it my lab top doesnt have a burner on it so i want to convert the file then use a different computer to burn it

    After the file is loaded, elect to burn it to a DVD folder.
