So I was attempting to flash my friends xbox, I didnt want to buy anything so I soldered and fried the board. The green light flashes and I need to extract the drive key, but dont know if its possible in this state. I will order another drive to replace it. Can anyone please point me in the right direction or help out? Thx in advance

as long as the drive still powers on, you need the probe to extract the correct key (for the liteon 74 drives). so if jf recognizes the drive you can get the key of it. assuming off course you didn't erase the firmware on it, then your are scr.....

for the new 84 drives you don't need a probe anymore, but for that you don't have to solder anyting so you must have a 74 drive

btw, this is the wrong forum section. go to xbox 360
