    Can anyone help me with this? I try to follow the instructions that come with the codec for Win2k Server/Advanced Server, but I'm having luck. I do not understand the instructions. They're half assed.
    I'm able to install it and watch the movie fine. But once I reboot, it does remember the install of the codec. I'm looking to make this codec install stick under Win2 Adv Srv. Help!!!

    I don't think it'll work very well. AFAIK Windows 2k servers don't have DX support.

    What do you mean by, "AFAIK Windows 2k servers don't have DX support?"
    What is AFAIK and DX?

    AFAIK=As Far As I Know

    DX=Direct X

    Codecs etc. need Direct Media (part of Direct X). I haven't really tried installing video codecs on 2k servers, so I can't say for sure.

    Nevermind, I got it to stick. I installed the HBO codecs and it did the trick. Thanks for the help. This issue is resolved and can be closed.
