I am thinking of getting a Canon Optura 20 and I want to know if anyone knows how to copy the videos I make directly from my camcorder to a VHS tape. Also does anyone know of a way to transfer the video to the computer using USB instead of FireWire with the Optura 20? I appreciate any help anyone can give! Any major pros or cons against this make and model?

Unless the camera has USB2 support then you don't want to use USB at all.

To copy your video to VHS tape, you will need to connect video/audio out from your camera to the video/audio in of the VHS machine.

To transfer your video to computer, you will need a capture card. Most camcorder will include the firewire output, so you will need to get a firewire card to bring it into your computer, Unless the Canon Opture 20 has USB2 port.
