I don't know about your program, but I do it this way.
Open the 'MPEGAV' folder on the VCD and drag the .DAT file onto the desktop.
Run SuperĀ©, and drag the .DAT file onto its window.
Select the 'Output Container' (upper left) and choose 'MP3 (Audio Only)'
Click 'Encode Active Files' (the one with the check mark.

    Download from Afterdawn

    AOA Audio Extracor
    'Add Files'
Select 'All Files' from the drop down menu.
Highlight 'VTS_01_1' 'VTS_01_2' etc and load them, then convert.

    http://www.aoamedia.com/audioextractor.htm

    Or
Run VobEdit > Click 'Open', select the first large VOB of the title (normally, but not always, VTS_01_1.VOB) the rest will come in at the same time.
Click 'Demux' > Click 'Demux All Audio Streams' (the audio file will be saved as an ac3).

Convert the AC3 to WAV with PX3.
    Use audacity to edit wav.
