    things must be expensive in Australia. Tht is about 1351 US dollars and for that system it is well overpriced.
    It is an ok system but you could do much better if you can find a good shop selling PC supplies and just build one. Mine cost me about $1000 to build (not including some things i already had like the monitor, dvd drives, hard drives, keyboard and mouse)
    you can see the specs below in my sig. I would look arouns some more.
    The Dell E520 is selling for about that and has dual core Pentium D

    here is one i built on the HP site that would blow that away and cost you $200 AUD more. BUt it has a way better processor, graphics, soundcard, wireless lan card (optional) 19" LCD monitor, DVD with lightscribe, and 2GB RAM.

    I couldn't agree more. When I first got my money all together; I thought it would be nice to go out and BUY my own pc; but after a while I decided to just build one myself; and LET ME TELL YOU---BUILDING YOUR OWN BEATS THE CRAP OUT OF ANY RETAIL PC BY FAR. EVEN PRIVATE BUILDERS CAN'T BEAT YOUR OWN BUILD because they still have to make a profit. So; if you REALLY want the best bang/buck; I HIGHLY suggest you build your own..

    .....I mean; come on; if you take a look @ my specs; you'll see that I've got my 1st setup in my sig----but here's the kicker; I was able to get all of that for ~$470usd----now; if you go to any best buy; you'll notice very fast that my comp. would just annihilate and pwn any hp/dell/whatever in the same price range--whether it be in gaming or multimedia....

    B.Y.O.!! --Nuff said;

    --Halen5150

    p.s.

    "Scream through downloads"???? <--- OH HELL; your download speed has nothing to do with your computer specs because I have an hp pavilion 6630 (192mb ram; 498mhz proc.) hooked up to a 512k
    dsl connection; and it still gets the same dl speeds as my custom comp.;

    "64 bit capable"????? <--Are you kidding me Intel??? If you go to newegg, you'll see that just about any amd or intel proc. they sell nowadays has 64 capability; that's nothing tooooo new....

    ....It seems as though intel's 'viiv' features are just a bunch of b.s. according to that quoted paragraph...lol....

    ....but if b'ing y.o. isn't for you; then I understand;)lol..

    p.s. srry if I somehow offended anyone; lol.... just my 2 cents;)
