that's a nice idea with the DVD storage bbmayo, my brother does that with CD's. If i had the room for a standalone cupboard on the boat i'd do just that. it would make finding /putting back films a breeze. Ah well, maybe one day, for now i've got my binders.

Good to see some of you guys have done stuff like the Army etc, 'fraid all i can show for my youth is working since i was 17 or 18, so about 18 years in IT so far, but i sure wish i'd done something else with those years :)

@nohelpme - i have about 100GB of music videos, does that count :O

    Hey kivory666,

I'm impressed with your vast DVD collection. What do you use to keep track of your collection? I haven't found any software I like but I need something to make sure I have nothing with Pauly Shore.

I have 'bout 500+ "backups"; & about 300 originals, which I will be working on in the fall. I haven't had cable for 9+ years, & shall NEVER have it again. It insults my miniscule intelligence. I prefer movies. In (most) movies, they don't portray (nearly all) white men as an idiot or a bad lay. "Cain't tolerate that stuff"!

Feelin a bit insecure?? lol, just kidding.

I have about 40 blanks left, 300 on the way. About 25GB worth of music on the hard drive, probably about the same amount on disc not on the hard drive. 200GB hard drive and a blank 80GB not installed.

i have 7 game cube games
    i have 17 n64 games
i have emu for snes,genesis,atari,nes,gamebiy--with all games (almost)
i have three hard drives tottaling--280gigs

and one of my dreams is to buy a cpu with tv out and a good sound system and with like a tower of 10 hard drives of 300 gigs each
and have all my movies back-up in a smaller file--on the hard drive
like each movie after converted would be like 2-21/2 gigs each decent quality which would mean like 130 movies on a hard drive
and organize my mp3 onto a few of the hard drives as above mention
and connect to the big screen tv in entertainment room-with direct tv,tivo, vcr, surround sound etc..and a internet connection with a wireless mouse and keyboard---yoiu know all in one but the cpu would be hidden somewhere and then if its all done--you have a huge entertainment factory with everything--in the big room

    minus the disco ball
