How much Better is TMPGEnc than Pinnacle Studio DVs in house encoder at creating Mpegs from AVI files

    How much Better is TMPGEnc than Pinnacle Studio DVs in house encoder, at creating Mpegs from AVI files??? the VCDs i get from Pinnacle Studio DVs Mpeg creator are a bit murky.

    Easiest way is to test it by yourself. Take a short 5min clip of source material that has "excellent" or "near excellent" quality, like from DVD, encode it with Pinnacle and encode the same source to MPEG-1 with TMPGEnc and compare the results.

    ummm good idea, is it possible to take data from a DVD and capture it through Studio DV??
