I have a dual core pentium D at 2.8 ghz. I am planning on getting the new nvidia mid range direct x 10 cards in april. Will my cpu really be holding me back. Btw I have 2 gigs of ram.

the pentium d isnt the best cpu for gaming, so it will hold you back but not much.

That, and the fact it won't help you unless you are running Vista, which would be a mistake, anyway. :)

if u get a core 2 duo u wont get more than 5-10fps so the best way to go is oc ure pc, a pentium d as said b4 is not the best for gaming but it certainly can and will handle modern games for at least a year and a half
