What sort of price would be the norm for a Dbox and which one is recommended Nokia or Sagem 1x or 2x. I assume the 2x Sagem and Nokia would be better in view of the additional flash chips?

Had a look on eBoy but the prices vary hugely. Some folk want £140 some loads less. Just looking to get an idea.

Thanks to Benifa etc for there help with a problem on a mates DBox I had borrowed!! Fixed now thankfully, he'll be none the wiser!

Lol , id say something around the range of 90-120, Bulk buying always gets them a bit cheaper as ya prob know. Maybe worth findoing out if any family members ect are intrested before you buy. Save you all some bob.

I have 2 other family members who are definitely wanting one. Is there better and cheaper places than eBay?

    Which box is recommended?

when you are on ebay extend your seach to include europe (options on the left hand site after you search for dbox). then it will show you sellers from germany, who have put up their boxes on ebay.de, where they tend to go much cheaper than from the uk site. you can use babelfish to translate the pages.

the max i would pay for a sagem would be £100

I wouldn't pay more than 80 (including delivery) for a box that is at least 5-6 years old when you can get a brand new dreambox for 135 (including delivery)from an authorised dream retailer that has 1 years warranty, is faster more reliable and the size of a vhs cassette.

Sagem boxes are often cheaper, They come with avia 600 chips usually however they are sometimes 1x or 2x chips so watch out for which box you buy both are fine but just in future reference if your gonna flash it

Just ordered 2 Sagem Dbox2 1x for £159 +£22 delivery. From Germany, the guy is on eBoy but has 99% positive feedback and 260 transactions. I hope to god I dont get done!! Looking forward to getting them as is my dad, this site really convinced me to get one as if there are any problems the folk here go all out to help.

Just keep up the good work!!

Quick question, I have a mates DBox just now and it Sky Movies 1 is really REALLY jumpy as in it is unwatchable, its pretty much the only SKY channel which is like this. Also I cant seem to get Sky Movies 9 and 10??
