how much to preload when doin ac3 stereo rips

    Does anyone have have any idea how much to preload an ac3 stereo track in virtual dub when multiplexing???

    That would depend on the source.

    If you demux using dvd2avi, the offset value can be found as part of the filename of the ac3 file (DELAY something).

    or

    DVDdecrypter has the option of generating a 'stream info' file that'll tell you the delay value.

    and

    You can also use "AC3 delay corrector" to remove the offset, so that you can use the resulting ac3 file without bothering with the offsets (some programs don't allow you to specify an audio offset).
