how offen do up have to update the software on thebox super

Yeah it's a disaster, the signal is usually only around 18 mbps and sometimes it takes forever to download stuff.

But according to eircom it's my problem because there's only a 12 month guarantee with the modems and it's up to me to buy a new one. Even though i'm paying them a fortune for my broadband package.

Unless, as i said i get disconnected and reconnect which they admit would cost them money and get the router for 30 euro but i don't want to be disconnected for 2 weeks.

I have an old(eircom) landline broadband modem that i dont use. Dont know wether it would work in your house though, but if it did you could use it till you get the new one for 30 euro. (maybe someone could share some light on this).

 

I told them i was going to change, they didn't care.

The thing is i don't really want to change, first of all i don't want to be stuck with no internet while i'm changing and second Novice99 was telling me that some of the other companies don't have a great track record on workers rights, so i'd prefer to stay with eircom if possible.
