i just assumed ddp, that everything would have fallen into place... it should have anyway. what was intended for your birthday/thanksgiving celebration was:

    baked ham (honey glaze)
    homemade bread
    scallopped potatoes
sweet potatoes - marshmallow melted on top
    greenbean caserole
tossed green salad - bleu cheese dressing
    pumkin pie
    praline bread pudding

i am sorely disappointed that it didn't show up. i wonder what could agve happened? maybe confiscated (eaten) at the border?

the border guards either american, canadian or both must have confiscated it for national security reasons & ate it to hide the evidence!!!

    blast those border guards....

next time, ddp, i will simply send omaha steak; a filet mignon or just a simple tender loin strip steak (ummmm) hermetically sealed and packed in dry ice. you will need to figure out what to cook along with it - maybe a baked potato smothered in butter and sour cream and steamed asparagus, fresh trout lightly saute'd in butter and olive oil and garlic - lightly sprinkled with dried almond slivers, and oh yes... fresh strawberries picked fresh every morning in the nearby hills and smothered with freshly whipped cream.

    there you have it!

Man at times I feel old, only 37 but I'm also a marathoner and triathlete (not pro, just as a hobby...though it seems like a full time job). Took at break from training in Feb., after my hernia surgery and started back up 5 weeks ago, it is coming back very rapidly but my body seems to recover just a little slower...either it is age or I'm just a wimp.
