Yeah VCDjunkie, posting your age works as a great intro, don't it? I once saw a site where people put a quick blurb about the weather at the end of their posts. Added a friendly touch to all the people.

Cold and snowy in Williamsburg VA, USA.

At Christmas time, it was about -30 degrees Celsius here in Hämeenlinna, Finland, and my friend told me today, that at his parent's place, up north, in Kuhmo, it was at something like -40 degrees... Heh.
Now it's a bit warmer, though.

No, no, it's not typical at all.
Usually the temperatures are something like -10, -20 degrees max...

Twilite: Pretty correct, just picture the igloos with 10MBps VDSL connections and every eskimo with Nokia cellphone and you're there :) As you probably know, this site is Finnish :)

You saying this site is in Finnish made me think of a few wisecracks about how you write english so well ;) but I would like to keep my account so I'll refrain from voicing any of em. As it is I think I just assured I'll never be more than a newbie.

For all the dudes living in British isles, those differences are called "seasons" or "summer", "autumn", "winter" and "spring". Not "the f...ing 12months of grayness" ;-)

(yes, I live in the UK :)

Yeah England has crap winters, but fairly good summers.

Going back to the Starcraft crashing problem, I tried putting the CD in my cd-rw drive and it hasnt crashed since, so it looks like my DVD player is on its way out. Nothing will stop me playing Starcraft on Battle.net now.

We had the coldest day since I've lived here yesterday. It took until ~10AM to get out of the single digits, and it was a SUNNY day! Memphis is TOO cold - I think I'll move back to Louisiana!-)
