wow...you know you're an american when none of those make me thing of anything except possibly ice cream flavors.
I don't, oddly enough. I never saw much use for it. My brother (26) drives a GMC Typhoon (http://www.uspowerwheelers.nl/foto/Spring_Meeting_Us_Power_Wheelers_2001/GMC_Typhoon.jpg) and a Land Rover Defender 90 Tdi. Yeah, well out of the league of a 17 year old, but cool nonetheless. Still, if it doesn't have to work you may as well choose anything you want! For that sort of money I'd be looking at reliability above lots of things, but the trouble is, what do you approve? Clios, 206s, Puntos, Corsas, fiestas, Kas and C2s all have big question marks above them. Leaves it down to the Yaris, Hyundai Getz, Honda Jazz and Mini then! I think you're OK with most until the warranty runs out, then get rid of it!
Message for Lethal_B ____________________ WOW !! Your 18th Birthday really is on September 8, 2006 !! I must have ESP ( extrasensory perception ) because I had no way of knowing for sure the exact day. I did check your profile here on AfterDawn.com but the exact day is not listed. The only thing I had to go on was when you mentioned back on page 114 of this thread that your 18th Birthday was coming up in 7 weeks or so. I just calculated the weeks from that post and made a good guess ( or is it really ESP ?? ). Glad you enjoyed my pre-Happy Birthday links given to you as a special gift ( higher up on page 124 ). P.S. You should start thinking HONDA for the choice of your car !! ____________________________________________________ Signed: Robert Singletary__Friday August 25, 2006__8:30 P.M. Auslander: Yep, that's where its origins are! Cows: Cool, happy birthday for then, I never realised there were so many youngsters at aD! ZConcept: You have ESP? Cool. When's my birthday then? (If you look through aD you should be able to find out I'd think)
Message for sammorris _____________________ Since you were born on MAY 5, 1988 you would have become 18 years old on May 5, 2006. Just a wild guess !! Yet, I think this info is extremely accurate !! ( tee hee ). Maybe I have ESP afterall !! ______________________________________________________ Signed: Robert Singletary__Saturday August 26, 2006__9:08 A.M. (eastern standard time) USA
hey Lethal, my car is 9 (and has 135,000 miles on clock - Peugeot 306 1.9 TurboDiesel - quality over style for lots of miles each day). Anyways as to me, i'm still 37 thank goodness, well for a few more months anyway
i am in UK but i seem to spend too much time based on the motorway hopefully by the time i'm 38 i'll be locally based
He won't tell. He's hiding from the DVD burning police.. I'm sure you do have ESP As I don't remember telling anyone my birthdate except Dela & a few ppl on #ad_buddies
Message for Lethal_B ____________________ Could I possibly be a mind-reader too ?? Maybe I was picking up thought-waves from Dela when I guessed the exact day of your upcoming Birthday ( September 8, 2006 ). Don't think I should be alarmed because my mother was a mind-reader and had some degree of ESP ( extrasensory perception ). She died back in Sept. of 1996 at age 78 but many times I feel her spirit near me ( which makes me believe there is some kind of afterlife ). The trait of having ESP could be embedded in my DNA. ______________________________________________________ Signed: Robert Singletary__Saturday August 26, 2006__3:46 P.M. (eastern standard time) USA
sammorris, I'll tell you what, the Japanese could take a lesson or two from the French when it comes to making comfortable car seats. I've owned at least 5 Renaults and everyone of them had very comfortable seats, both front and rear! I rode about 150 miles the other day in my friends Acura and could hardly get out of the passenger seat, my back hurt so bad. It felt like I was in a torture rack! theone
That's annoying, yeah. French cars are alright to live with until they break, unless the airbags go off on their own, which happened twice with a 307...
