@nrautava --Thanks, happy to play in the sandbox.

GrandpaGW and I share the benefit of having grandkids... Can't recall the ages of GGW's but mine are 3 1/2 and the other 2 months old. They are wonderful!

Happy birthday in a few hours GrandpaGW!!!!!!

You do need a grandson. My grandson and his sister live 2100 miles from me, so I only get to see them once a year, if that.

The other 2 granddaughters live 100 miles from me. We see them quite often. :)

     You're right .. I don't need a grandson .. I need 2 or 3 grandsons ...

As far as having grandkids living far away .. I feel your pain .. my son and his family (w/ 1 granddaughter) live in So California and I live in Indiana. As far as the other three, well until 2 months ago, they lived with me and the better half. I still babysit them 3 or 4 nights a week ... VERY COOL!

LOL My son and his family live in northern California, and I live in northern Minnesota. It is painful.

There is no greater gift that could bestowed upon us, than grandkids.
    Life is good.

How about greatgrandkids? (my joke is that I already have great grandkids)

Sidenote .. My father-in-law just became a great-great grandfather, pretty uncommon!

70 days until I'm heading to San Diego ... Gonna spend Christmas with the son's family

    I can hardly wait

Happy birthday, ddp! I remember when I was 46, I think. :) It only gets better, from now on.

No matter what age you are, always remember, life is good, and never stop learning.
