How to add subtitles to a dvd

    Hi guys .. i'm so new here .. and so new in this DVD business, i really need help here .. i just bough my dvd writer yesterday, cause i need space on my hard disk .. i have dozens of movies type AVI DIVX and so on and i wanna turn them to a DVD .. ofcourse this is not at all .. i wonder .. can i build a whole menu that might contains scene selection, subtitles, extra features and so on, just exactly like when i buy a DVD from a store ?? how can i start, and what software u recommend?? especially to add subtitles to a dvd disk, multi language subtitles !!
    i know i'm askin for too much .. but please i really need help here !!

    You need 2 basic things.
    1.) An encoder that will make a dvd compliant mpeg-2 video from your aiv/divx.
    2.) An authoring app that will allow you to use subs, as well as menus, chapters, transitions, etc.
    For #1, a lot of people use tmpgenc. I prefer Mainconcept, or Canopus Procoder. You can use QuEnc, it's free.
    For #2 get DVDLab Pro. There's nothing better (in it's price range).
