woooooooopppssss, Nik, maybe the clip frame did have something to do with it, perhaps tmpgenc was just trying to do too many things at once, unfortunately it could also just be that the volume changing messed up or something!!
wokay..wats the solution,,any idea. The prob ccured with another file also..did clip frame and increased volume also ..since it was a divx file..had low volume. incidentally..tried the kazaa codec pack one week back,,tis great,,didnt have a single prob since ..earlier 50% of my files used to be a prob,unfort..gspot wasnt able to help me much..nevr realyy told me clearly which codec was missing.
lol, gspot gives the exact name of the codec that was used!! lol Why did you use clip frame on the new file?? I reckon, TMPGEnc just cant handle running too much at once!
seriously man, gpsot ,confuses the sh..t outta me.tells me file rendered sucessfully.no codecs missing.or tells me onec codec i nvideo scetion and another one in direct show..so can never figure out and file doesnt play in media plyer..i found sumtin called Bs player ,,and it suprisingly played the files that wmp doidnt play. regarding clip frame..well even new file had the black borders which take away half the screen.so ahd to try.. also in a couple of my divx movies ..just cant get the volume to go up..tried to change it to 200 and 300 % also.but disturbance increases..not volume..wat shd i do?
lol, where are you getting all these files with the low volume?? are you sure its not just your computer because it would be a waste if you played it back on the dvd player and noticed, shit thats too loud! lol
I have similar problems to many others. I can play all my avi files successfully on my PC both video and audio. When i use tmpgenc and i browse the video file the audio file is only automatically selected in about 50% of cases. If i use gspot it tells me that the appropriate audio codec is loaded. In virtualdub if i select the options suggested i get the following error with the 50% which fail. "No audio decompressor could be found to decompress the source audio format. Any ideas?
DUDE,3 out of 4 divx files i get are low in vol..only yyday i got airplane' which was ok..i need a solution.fasttt..my divx are piling up..
geez man i cant explain the low volume! Are you usre your sound is up full and i dont mean on the speakers but i mean is it up full volume on the computer in the vlume control settings? Paulmc, sometimes virtualdub will look for audio decompressors even though you have them. I installed the Radium Mp3 Codec and never had a problem!
hey,i am not that much a newbie, man.of course vol is full tried 3/4 playrs also ,same low sound. imean even burned on cds without any adjust ments in tmp and cud barely hear the dailogues..after adjust mnts also not much improvemt..only in 1 file it was a sucesss.
Dela thanks for your reply however it hasn't helped me. I am having huge problems with audio codec's. If i install certain ones required by certain avi's it screws up the audio content on others. Even when tmpgenc accepts the audio content when browsing the appropriate file it fails either to support the file or when you check the MPEG generated file it has no sound. Can you suggest an audio codec that will sort out my problems? I never have problems with the video content. I am unable to create revised AVI's in virtual DUB because of this audio compression error mentioned previously. No matter what audio codec I sel;ect it fails 100% of the time in virtual DUB. Any ideas?
To make matters even worse I am having huge problems with video codecs now. the current xvid codec makes my avi's look very dark. I need some advice as to what codecs to download for both audio and video. everyone I try just makes things worse. I still can't get the audio to work in the mpeg no matter what i try. Thanks.
Thats odd, the avis should have no problem opening in VirtualDUB. So what codecs have you installed?? any codec packs?
Dela, I have been following your posts and have been having some success. All of the avi's that I have been downloading have converted (via TMPGEnc) to mpegs without problems, but the DivX avi's have been doing a couple of weird things. They have expanded from 800MB to 5Gig plus and there is no sound following the conversion. All of the DivX avi's have played fine on the Windows Media Player as avi's. Any ideas??? Thanks.
In TMPGEnc click setting and click the advanced tab. then tick the box beside source range and then double click source range and then when it comes up click move to start frame and click set start frame and then click move to end frame and click set end frame!
Dela The problem I have is that the avi's contain bad frames throughout and i can't watch it without some serious editing. Is there any particular reason why this should happen?
Did you download them or encode them yourself?? Well, if downloaded, look for avifixed and see if it will remove the bad frames for you!!
I've been converting files I received from ASF to AVI to MPG. While the ASF to AVI has been working fine, I'm having problems converting from AVI to MPG. I've been using TMPGEnc to convert the AVIs to VCD format, but about 1.5 minutes into each file I convert the sound cuts out. Before the sound dies, everything is going fine. Even after the sound dies, the rest of the video converts with no problems. Any suggestions?
Try this 1. open the avi in virtualdub 2. click video - direct stream copy 3. click audio - full processing mode 4. click audio - compression, select no compression pcm and click ok 5. click file - save avi try the avi you save with TMPGEnc!
Hi, i dont know if you guys touched this subject before or not, so my apologies in advance . After encoding my movie using Tmpgenc the file was of course huge and so i tried to merge and cut, but i couldn't (my fault not the programs) and so i used virtual dub, cut it in half, and then encoded it. is this a good idea? and i'm wondering, do i have to put all of my movies on two cds? also, i dont have a DVD player yet, so how do i check if everything is okay? THanks in advance Sherin
