    hi

you only need the bin file then extract the mpeg from the mpeg folder

right click on file to extract then use method (get M2F2 frames or something like? without me looking at app...)

also dont bother encoding the mpeg to dvd as it looses quailty,

what i do is use DVDPatcher then load to tmpgenc dvd author to make vobs (no encoding) then burn with same app or use your favourite burn apps

    thanks rotary,
done that, then i used divxtodvd to convert as i have done with other films i.e. avi. It showed a preview so thought all was well until I burnt the file, (had to right click on file & select "burn to dvd" which used a different program to normal as the program I use normally didnt show the file for me to select it for burning) It burnt it etc but wouldnt play in my DVD player?! Other burnt films have done fine so not sure whats happened here? Film will play on pc, but thats no good I hate watching films on pc!
    Any ideas??

edit: I've just remembered that when I saved the file as a different name as mentioned in a post above, i forgot the .mpg extension & just called it "beck" would that have made a difference?

    hi

yes needs .mpeg extension (all depends weather you have show all file extensions turned on?)

also useing divxtodvd looses quailty but its your chioce really (no need to encode!)

for avi to dvd i use film machine its free and i use CCE encoder with it, the quailty is amazing!!!!!!!!! same as avi file first put in!!!!!!

    Rotary,

It seems you would pick Film Machine over vso anyday,
I have a question, how come Film Machine is so unpopular compared to winavi, vso, etc.? From this site and downlaod.com and filepedia the numbers are in the hundreds for downloads. The others are in the 20,000s.

    hi

i spose it could be that its not listed here or linked to, or even has a guide (although its that easy you dont need one) but all the major apps are so that in itself would increase downloads/sales for any sites.

i like film machine with CCE as CCE is the best encoder for me, film machine will do everything for you, i load the file set it and walk away it will make ntsc or pal change aspect ratio, shrink to fit dvdr and make the iso to burn too...

but the overall factor is i have tested both those apps mentioned and i am afraid to say the quailty isnt a patch on film machine/CCE, the quality is like is hasnt been encoded from avi but it has there isnt any difference from the file you put in to the file you get out!!!

    now that is amazing!

those 2 apps and plenty more like dvd santa, nerovision express all change quality and even lip sync sometimes and i like the best quailty i can get and as of this minute FM is the best by far...

and a free app and second to that app is avi2dvd another free app that can use CCE, just like dvd rebuilder uses CCE, you know thats good! for dvd shrinking and no loss of quality which isnt noticable...

i am here to help people and this is what my testing shows, try it yourself, trust me you will change!

avi2dvd can go dvd main movie to dvd also! and shrink it useing CCE like rebuilder...

but all the above is for avi/xvids

now SVCD =BIN/mpeg, i dont encode at all as they are sort of mpeg2 you just need to make compliant and takes 5 seconds in dvd patcher (free app too), then you only need to author make (vob/ifo/bub) for dvd burning, for this i use tmpgenc dvd author, as this app can mkae iso images and burn too!

so no looseing quality here too

why would you want to wait an hour or so when you dont have to? useing divxtodvd? all done to dvdr in 20 / 30 mins

I've done isobuster again adding the .mpg extension. Also did divxtodvd on this file, but again wasnt in the list (1click) on the burning software, so dont think it would have burnt properly again. Instead I used DVDsanta & found that there was an option to have it able to play on american dvd players or european. Should have said b4 but forgot that I am from the UK therefore need the dvd's to be PAL so think this is the problem I had b4. I selected PAL on dvdsanta & it then encoded then burnt (is that right? seemed to take forever like I'm doing a step that's not necessary maybe?) but it worked on my dvd player after all!
So have I finally got this bin/cue thing right?...
DL bin/cue file/film, then use isobuster to extract files, then dvdsanta to encode & burn? Was hoping for a free program or one that I already have to do the above, but I only have free trial of dvdsanta at the mo.

About 90mins to encode & hour to burn. Didnt like quality of dvdsanta, any others that will burn to PAL format?
Is it normal for all CAM's to have delayed speech to visual?

    get .bin file

    bang into isobuster

bang into main concept (takes about half an hour on mine)

then bang into TMPGEnc takes about 30 mins?
which creates video ts + audio ts

then bang it on a disk with any prog i like (clone dvd?)

is this right if it is i've done quite well :0

thanks for all the help you've given me already and any more help you will undoubtedly give me.
