    PURPOSE: to teach you how to change the default windows loading page into something much more enjoyable!

    GO HERE TO LEARN HOW TO MAKE BOOTSKINS
    http://www.wincustomize.com/Articles.aspx?AID=97764

    NOTE:A boot screen replaced using this tool can not result in windows crashing at start or any structural issues, the worst possible thing that can happen is that your monitor flashs colors violently and still boots into windows fine, so any changes done are 100% reversible:)

    Your going to needed a handy little app called BOOTSKIN
    http://www.stardock.com/products/bootskin/

    bootskins can be found all over the next, i suggest looking here for your desired bootskin!

    TO ADD A SKIN
    Launch bootskin
    and go file "import from file"

    browse and find your bootskin and hit "open"

    you'll then find the skin you added in the menu

    TO PREVIEW A NEW SKIN

    pretty simple, just highlight your skin and hit the preview button and wait a moment, the skin may look different at boot...keep that in mind:)
    ==========================
    TO APPLY A NEW SKIN
    Highlight your skin and hit apply, doesn't get any easier!
    [IMG]
    when applied you get a message

    ============================================
    TO RETURN TO ORIGINAL BOOT SCREEN
    just like you would any other skin:)

    What resolution do your custom images need to be? Does the app convert them for you? Just curious, since the Windows Logo looks so bad.

    I remember downloading an app like this and changing my Windows 95 boot screen to a pic from Saving Private Ryan... nice to see something like this for XP.
