How to connect to #Xbins Tutorial -*With Pics*-

XBINS IS AN IRC CHANNEL WERE YOU CAN DOWNLOAD APPS FOR XBOX SUCH AS DASHBOARDS AND OTHER APPLICATIONS LIKE BIOS FILES


To connect to Xbins
Programs Needed
mIRC http://mirc.com
FlashFXP http://download.com search for it

first download mIRC and create your username ect.
next connect to the efnet server closest to your location
it should look like this


after it connects it will ask you what channel name to join
enter #xbins the pic shows below...


when you enter the channel you will need to type
/msg xbins !list


after you enter that,another window will pop-up like in the pick
below..


click that button and it will give you your ftp info i circled
what you need in the pic below...


now open up flashFXP and press F4 to enter the site manager
then click add new site...Enter the info from the last Step of
the mIRC Guide it should look like the pic below....


Now click the lighting Bolt on the top right of your screen
and then pick Xbins like in the pic below...and it should
connect directly to Xbins...




*NOTE-YOU CANT WAIT TO LONG AFTER
YOU TYPE THE COMMAND (/MSG XBINS !LIST) INTO mIRC BECAUSE THE
LOGGIN TIME WILL EXPIRE*....
ANOTHER SIDE NOTE EVERYTIME YOU DISCONNECT FROM XBINS WITH
FLASHFXP YOU WILL HAVE TO ENTER THE /MSG COMMAND AGAIN INTO
MIRC..

 

If that is to complicated for people or it doesn't work download xbins.rar

Extract all the files to a directory and then run the Xbins.exe file and it will logon to the #xbins IRC server. Retrieve your password and user name. It will then connect to xbins using FileZ with the password and username that it got from Mirc. Check it out! It's handy.

Pretty much. Also I used to have two different pictures but for some reason I guess I screwed up and they are the same. But that's pretty much what it looks like besides when it logs you onto the #Xbins server you see new tabs on the side.

 

i have gotten to xbins but when i click to download the file it will go to the queue area but it won't download what should i do

 

all you should have to do is drag it from the right windows to the left windows and drop it "Drag and Drop"....if it queues then you probably took to long..

 

Hi, i downloaded mirc and everything but i can't seem to connect. It always says failed to connect. Any help on this? thanks

 

what server are you trying to log onto,and do you have any firewall programs running?

 

Hey thanks theridges! it was my zone alarm firewall blocking mirc. Now it works, but will i have to shut down my zone alarm security suite every time i use mirc?

 

no it should have asked you if you wanted to permit mirc,if it didnt then i dunno...

 

Hmm o well i guess i will have to shut it down everytime, it keeps on saying blocked by zone labs. I tried uninstalling it but it still blocks it.

 

tried uninstalling what Mirc or ZoneAlarm?
go check your firewall and see if the security is set to high and turn it down...and look for something that says exceptions and add mirc into it...

 

I tried uninstalling mirc, but when i reinstalled it zone labs only asked to allow the installation and thats it, it never asked me anything again.
