i got some dvd movies but those are in mpeg-1 format and i cannot convert those movies to divx or xvid, because i am using GKnot and GKnot is not supporting mpeg-1 format to convert in divx or xvid.... please help in this matter... what can do...??? thnx
My suggestion is to use the freeware Virtualdub instead GKnot which I don't know, to convert ANY movie in AVI format (I give you the link for Virtualdub-MPEG2, which supports also MPEG-2 files http://fcchandler.home.comcast.net/stable/index.html). By selecting Video__Compression you choose, between your codecs, the one to use (+ click 'configure', in the Select Video Compression screen, to configure that codec). After, File___Save AVI. You know how to use well Xvid/DivX, isn't it?
