How to copy Halo 2 to your HDD

    it connects to flash fxp when i load the run linux profile on mechassult (EVOLUTION X) then i go to system utils then settings. it brings up my ip and from that screen it can connect to flash fxp

    If you have an E\Dashboard folder, then what is in it?

    if you don't then tell me.

    no i dont. when i open folder e the choses i have are udata tdata and another one but not dashboard

    did you install evox to your C drive?

    hmm, okay I am really confused. Okay run the Mech installer. Is there an option that says install softmod?

    are there options that say you can backup something? If there is, then tell me what you can back up.

    hey teak. your the bomb, nice tut. umm when u said go into games folder in the e drive, i didnt have 1 so i created 1. hope thats ok. n e ways, when i try to play halo 2 off the hard drive it says theres a problem with the disk it may bescratched or dirty. do i have to have the disk in when i do try? because when i did try the disk wasnt in......thanks for the reply if i get 1 : )

    also, when you say copy these files into your xbox, do u mean the highlighted ones, or all of them. why not just copy over all of them?

    because many of them you don't need and it just takes up space on your HD. about your problem: creating a games folder is fine, it will work the same way. And make sure you copied the fonts folder into your maps folder. That is usually the problem for dirty disc error.

    thank you for helping me out. did know we had to copy fonts into my maps folder. btw, howd ya get so smart? : P

    if you don't have a games folder, create one.

    OK i use evoX for linux nd have been modding for a while. I hav never figured out how to get the old maps tho. When i try to put halo 2 in my xbox with evoX going, it loads up halo 2. I can ftp, so i kno that isnt the problem. U said that we needed to put "your halo 2 disc in your xbox (remain in the modded dashboard)" but i cant do taht, can u tell me how to?

    what he means is first turn off then turn it on run the dash then put in your halo2 and dont launch it the game or(Dont launch DVD)

    ok, but when i open the disk tray the modded dashboard goes away and teh normal one comes up.

    okay, then how do you normally access your modded dash?
