    Hi,

Is there a way to determine the quality of a homemade DVD? Is there a software tool that will report on the resolution of a video? Thanks for any help.

    Try GSpot or Video Inspector.
For me, a very good benchmarking tool is my own two eyes.

Yup.. you beat me to it.. I would have said eyes as well. You can have 320x240 upscaled to 1080 and it still looks like 320x240

LOL, I know,...for the eye makes no difference. Some people are really preoccupied with numbers though. There was another person really worried about the numbers(even though he did not see any difference when watching...I told him that "...I never use any programs to check bitrate/quality scores...The only quality testing that I use are my own two eyes. If they are pleased, it's all that matters. When I enjoy a movie, I don't do it by watching a screenshot of some benchmarking software, but I actually watch the video."
Many times the difference in quality is just psychological, in people's heads, and on paper.

Numbers can lie, a good set of eyes don't.

    Hi
I don’t have so much idea regarding this subject. Just I suggest you to take steps accordingly.
