Can anyone tell me if there is freeware/shareware out there that allows you to edit various VOB files. I can't get Adobe Premiere 6.0 to accept the VOB files. I want to be able to insert transitions, add text, and edit, and then join them together as one new VOB? I don't want to convert the files to another format in order to maintain the original DVD quality. (video/audio)

Use dvd2avi to create a .d2v project and .wav from your vob. Then use vfapiconv to convert the .d2v to a video-only pseudo .avi. You can then import the avi and wav into Premiere. No quality lost. You'll then have to encode/author the Premiere timeline.
