I was not able to turn on the firewall, I receive a message that says "...the security center could not turn on windows firewall..." I then went to control panel and "firewall" and tried to enable it using that means, but i get another message that claims "...the associated device is not working..." which sounds like BS to me...any ideas on what i can do? Thanks.

That is very strange that its not working. I would use another firewall anyway. Zone alarm and other free firewalls are better because they monitor outbound traffic as wall as inbound. That way if you get a virus it can't phone home so to speak.

Yeah I agree. Windows firewall kinda stinks. Use a custom firewall
