Many burn programs (e.g. Nero, DVDSanta) can handle mpegs directly. If the files are good, the burning should be easy.

hey rabo504 the vob files are what u are looking for now all u have to do is used some burning software such as nero or dvd shrink to burn those files to a disc. there should have been other files with it w/ extensions such as .bup and .ifo

brncs4evr, i'm very green at this!!!!
i know how to burn dvd's with shrink, decrypter, dvd43, anydvd.
but, i have downloaded meet the fockers from MORPHEUS and it works fine!!! but now i want to put it on dvd to play in my dvd player at home. it came as a mpeg file, but i converted it to a meet_the_fockers_full
    VOBfile.
i used decrypter to convert into .iso
but no matter what i do dvd shrink won't pick it up under reauthor!!!!

im not sure what to do with the iso files when it comes to burning but i use dvd shrink to burn my video files(vob, vts, bup) im not really sure how video creator 8 makes it's files but they should all be in a folder called VIDEO_TS. This is what dvd shrink burns onto the disc without these files you will not be able to playback your dvd on a home dvd player. If u have nero it will create these files for u. If u already have these files then dvd shrink should work. do u have nero?

    hi

the mpeg2 dvd compliant file will go in TMPGenc dvd author! and burn to dvdr (make chapter pionts to / menus)

are you saying you converted this mpeg to 1 huge vob file?

or are there about 4 vobs about 1 gig in size? and no bup and ifo files with it either?

    hi

not sure if your mpeg is mpeg1 or mpeg2 and if mpeg2 is it dvd compliant?

so lets go with the vob og nearly a gig size!

ok you need to get an IFO and a BUP for your vob, now use IFOEDIT and click the button CREATE IFO, use the same destanion folder as the vob!

then place the vob/bup/ifo in a folder spelt EXACTLY like this VIDEO_TS (nero make this folder for you!!!!)

then use nero to burn on ADD-Video tab!

    and bobs your auntie!

OW! just check the vob plays ok in POWERDVD first!

or once you have the 3 files load the lot to DVD Shrink just to test it excepts the file created before burning and maybe wasting a disc!

the vob should be bigger and also have other files with it but the vob is what needs to be burned

    hi

    @ brncs4evr

why should the vob be bigger?

vob only is NO GO! you need the ifo / bup too!

    hi

if you want to go the mpeg route, then load to TMPGEnc DVD Author, and write back if it doesnt like it! with what the error was!
