how to get from .asf to .avi or .vob to dvd

    i have a video file and it is in asf format and i wanted to burn it into a dvd, so i can watch it in my dvd player in my tv. how?? help... thanks..

    use virtualdub version 1.3 (any later and they cant read asf) to convert to a avi then use a mpeg2 encoder nero vision tmpeg just to name a couple

    Most Encoders Can Read ASF/WMV Files so there is no need to encode it to AVI first before going to Mpeg-2/DVD....

    You can use "VSO DivXToDVD" or "Tmpgenc and Tmpgenc DVD Author" or most any encoder....

    we live and learn I thought microsoft had pulled the rights to asf of every one but I just run a asf through tmpgenc and it worked thanks for that minion saves me some time on some old home movies I was compiling
