I have a hitachi sata hd with windows xp on it. I want to install it into a pc I'm using now. I know how to install a hd except I'm worried about the fact XP is installed on it. I just want to use it for extra storage. How do I go about this?

As far as i know you can set 1 of ur hdd to slave mode and you dont need to install a OS on it just as long as the master has an OS, Right now i have two hdd's in my pc both have xp pro on them, they work fine but ever time i start the pc i have to choose what hdd to boot from, so the fact you have xp on both hdd's should not be a problem except you will have to choose what hdd to boot from ever time unless you just do the master slave thing.
