    I have windows 10 .
When I open up some of my folders, they are suppose to be on medium icons.
The problem is, whenever I come back to that folder, it is in the details, instead of the icons. How can I get it to stay on medium icons?
I still want to be able to see thumbnails for my photos, but I want the medium icons for other things in the folder.
Can anyone tell me what I can do to fix this?
    I would appreciate any help.
    Thank you

This is a never ending battle. I don't have Win 10 but it's the same in earlier OS's.

Click on a folder in File Explorer. Select Organize in File Explorer and go to Folder and Search Options, View. You can make settings there and apply them to that folder and subfolders, if you wish.

    I won't guarantee they'll behave.

    Does that work?

Thank you. It just started working properly. I don't know why, but it is like Win 20 has a mind of it's own. I never had the kind of problems I have on Win 10 on Win 7.
