    Hmm, I don't see it's process running so a registry fix may not be needed.

    Run a scan only with HijackThis, check these:

    [bold]R1 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Search Bar = http://red.clientapps.yahoo.com/customiz...rch/search.html
    R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\SearchURL,(Default) = http://red.clientapps.yahoo.com/customiz...//www.yahoo.com
    O2 - BHO: (no name) - {8bf5b8fc-11cb-409f-8c91-4d4ca04a1b6d} - C:\Program Files\VideoKeyCodec\isaddon.dll
    O3 - Toolbar: Protection Bar - {1a29a79a-b9c8-44a9-bedf-7fadde3cf33f} - C:\Program Files\VideoKeyCodec\iesplugin.dll
    O9 - Extra button: (no name) - {CD67F990-D8E9-11d2-98FE-00C0F0318AFE} - (no file) [/bold]

    Close all windows except HjT, then click "Fix checked".

    Turn off System Restore.
    Right click My Computer > Properties > System Restore tab > check "Turn off System Restore".
    Click Apply then OK.

    Restart in safe mode.
    Delete this folder:
    C:\Program Files\[bold]VideoKeyCodec[/bold]

    Run a complete scan with AVGAS.
    When it finishes, set all item to "Quarantine".
    Click "Apply all actions".
    Click "Save report".
    Restart in normal mode.

    Delete the SmitfraudFix folder.
    Go here and re-download the latest version 2.117.
    Extract the files.
    Try running Option 1 with SmitfraudFix again.

    Post back with the AVGAS report, a new HijackThis log and the contents of rapport.txt if you were able to run SmitfraudFix.

    @mcamar, Go here and download [bold]ATF Cleaner[/bold]. Do not run it yet, we will later.

    Run a scan only with HjT, check these(if there):

    Close all windows except HijackThis, then click "Fix checked".
    Close HjT, then run VundoFix one more time.

    Restart in safe mode and delete these files(if there):
    C:\Documents and Settings\Amar\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files\Content.IE5\EOXPRZVR\[bold]WinAntiVirusPro2006FreeInstall[1].exe[/bold]
    C:\WINDOWS\system32\[bold]pjmoblhe.dll[/bold]

    Close all windows.
    Open [bold]ATF Cleaner[/bold].
    Check "[bold]Select All[/bold]".
    Click "[bold]Empty Selected[/bold]".

    Restart in normal mode.
    Post back with the VundoFix log and a new HjT log.

    Hi,

    I'm new to this kind of stuff. Um basically i have this virus W32.Myzor.FK and when ever i click on the internet explorer i send me to this sketchy site thats say i have this virus and show me anitspy stuff to eliminate it. I also had this sketchy icon on the tool bar that says i have been infected and need to clean my pc. And to add to this i get random pop ups of sites where i can get anti malware, spyware program. So I did abit of researching and I got that icon to go away and finally got my homepage back but i still have random pop ups and sometimes internet explorer will take me back to that sketchy site. Pls help me. this virus is very stubborn.

    @wiseguy77, Myzor is gone, Vundo is your problem now.

    Download VundoFix to your desktop.

    Double-click VundoFix.exe to run it.
    Click the Scan for Vundo button.
    Once it's done scanning, click the Remove Vundo button.
    You will receive a prompt asking if you want to remove the files, click YES
    Once you click yes, your desktop will go blank as it starts removing Vundo.
    When completed, it will prompt that it will reboot your computer, click OK.

    Run a scan only with HijackThis, check these(if there):

    Close all windows expect HijackThis then click "Fix checked".

    Post back with a new HijackThis log.

    There's still more Vundo.

    Double-click VundoFix.exe to run it.
    Right click inside the white Window.
    Select Add More Files? from the menu that comes up. This will open a new VundoFix window.
    In the Window: copy/paste the following in the first field: [bold]C:\WINDOWS\system32\hggggee.dll[/bold]
    Copy/paste the following in the second field: [bold]C:\WINDOWS\system32\eeggggh.*[/bold]
    Click the Add Files button.
    Click the Close Window button.
    Click the Remove Vundo button.
    You will receive a prompt asking if you want to remove the files, click YES
    Once you click yes, your desktop will go blank as it starts removing Vundo.
    When completed, it will prompt that it will shutdown your computer, click OK.
    Turn your computer back on.

    Run a scan only with HjT, check and fix(if there). Close all windows except HijackThis before clicking "Fix checked"

    Yeah, that's the right log, but there's a new Vundo file showing. Run VundoFix again.

    Double-click [bold]VundoFix.exe[/bold] to run it.
    Click "[bold]Scan for Vundo[/bold]".
    Once it's done scanning, click "[bold]Remove Vundo[/bold]".
    You will receive a prompt asking if you want to remove the files, click [bold]YES[/bold].
    Once you click yes, your desktop will go blank as it starts removing Vundo.
    When completed, it will prompt that it will reboot your computer, click [bold]OK[/bold].

    Post the contents of [bold]C:\vundofix.txt[/bold] along with a new HijackThis log.

    Java is out of date.
    Go here and download [bold]Java Runtime Environment 5.0 Update 9[/bold].
    Go to [bold]Start[/bold] > [bold]Control Panel[/bold] > [bold]Add/Remove Programs[/bold].
    Uninstall all previous version and updates of JRE.
    Restart and install [bold]Update 9[/bold].

    How are things? Any problems?

    I'd really appreciate some help anyone as I've been trying to sort this for a couple of hours (via remote assistance) and Hijack this seems the best option before I format it.

    Thanks

    :eek:)

    lynds,

    Download SmitfraudFix.zip to the desktop from here.
    Extract the files to the desktop, but do not run it yet. We will later in safe mode.

    Go here to download the trial version of [bold]AVG Anti-spyware[/bold].
    * Install and open AVGAS.
    * Click "[bold]Update[/bold]" then click "[bold]Start update[/bold]".
    * After updating, close AVGAS.

    Go to Add/Remove Programs and uninstall:
    [bold]License Manager[/bold]

    [bold]Note[/bold]: Print or copy these instructions to Notepad and save them. You will be in safe mode and can't access the internet.

    * Restart your computer in safe mode(press [bold]F8[/bold] upon boot, select "[bold]Safe Mode[/bold]" from menu and press [bold]Enter[/bold]).

    * Run a scan only with HijackThis and check these(if there):

    Close all windows except HijackThis, then click "Fix checked".

    * Open the SmitFruadFix folder.
    * Double-click [bold]smitfraudfix.cmd[/bold].
    * Select [bold]2[/bold] and hit [bold]Enter[/bold] to delete infect files.
    * You will be prompted: Do you want to clean the registry ? answer [bold]Y (yes)[/bold] and hit [bold]Enter[/bold] in order to remove the Desktop background and clean registry keys associated with the infection.
    * The tool will now check if wininet.dll is infected. You may be prompted to replace the infected file (if found): Replace infected file ? answer [bold]Y (yes)[/bold] and hit [bold]Enter[/bold] to restore a clean file.
    * A reboot may be needed to finish the cleaning process. The report can be found at the root of the system drive, usually at C:\rapport.txt.

    * Exit SmitfraudFix and open [bold]AVGAS[/bold].
    * Click "[bold]Scanner[/bold]".
    * Click "[bold]Complete System Scan[/bold]".
    * When it finishes scanning, set all items to "[bold]Quarantine[/bold]".
    * Click "[bold]Apply All Actions[/bold]".
    * Click "[bold]Save Report[/bold]" and save it to the desktop.

    * Exit AVGAS and restart in normal mode.
    * Post back with the contents of rapport.txt, the AVGAS report, and a new HijackThis log. [bold]In your own thread[/bold] please.
