Yes,maybe you can try out SPAM. Now this cool software can rip dvd and also convert videos on mac,but it also has some little formats. If you want to rip dvd to AVi files, you maybe should try out another cool software :SPAM Ripper,but it is hugely expensive. And this can help you rip DVD to AVI,MP4,MOV,MPG,3Gp,etc many other formats on Mac.
i dont know if this SPAM Mac Video Converter can help you. but it said can convert VOB files into AVI files. so you can have a try. i am using SPAM dvd to iPod converter for win os, i use this to rip dvds to avi, it is NOT freeware. no watermark, no time limitation., however the link i provided was most definitely for a PAID product. DO NOT trust people like me, we join sites such as this purely to push PAID and CRAP software. Don't fall for it folks
