A program and adware I missed has messed with my system. I need to get these copied before I reboot from original disk. They are varied codec types and different speeds. Any ideas?

Hey thanks! Oh, and Pete, thanks for the redirecting; I don't know if it will work, my computer is seriously being screwed, but I can try. Heard of anything which shuts your computer off, freezes and moves and loses files and applications? Take care and thanks for being a breath of fresh air!

Ya know it sounds like a virus BUT if you have eliminated that - try doing a Defrag and also go to msconfig and shut everything down in startup except your AV Proggys and your firewall and finally, clen up your registry with somethin like regClean -
