How to Softmod with SID 4.0! Tells how to get on XBL too!

i got the softmode program on xbox but its not letting me do it on halo 2 need help

 

softmod on halo 2? now who the hell said anything about halo 2 ????

 

When I drag the SidKnave4 file to my action replay it says this is not a valid xbox save how do I get it to go in there

 

drag what it tells u 2!

 

I"m draging the file into AR it keeps saying not a valid xbox save what do I have to do I tried the files from 2 of the links at the begining of this thread

Drag the zipped file over. Do not unpack it first.

Ok I got the files loaded on my xbox ran the linux install created ms backup and eeprom backup perfect went to install softmod choose dual boot ntsc clicked on Knaves Ndure open tray retail choose enleash x on the the second screen it says press A to check if yours MS Dash is 5960 if you get a rename error please install single or dual games save third screen I get Failure process failed, the last item was: . Action Rename What should I do ?

Not sure the sysytem settings on the xbox menu say K 1.00.5830.01 --- D 1.00.5659.03 does this mean I have to update my MS dashboard also what the superior dashboard Unleash X or Evolution X please a short explanation on which dashboard to select thanks

 

OK,

You have an older version on the xbox. You can update your dash or as it says just use a single boot.

Do you intend on using xbox live ?

yeah that means older ver... you have D 1.00.5659.03 and you need the 5659 to go 5960 and to do that just play a newer game like halo 2 etc etc....

or if you dont plan on playing xbox live then just put single boot .... dont put dual = gamesave why? because on game save mode its not scripted nor protected by anything and you can break the mod. and yes unleash x all the way.

 

hey i have looked at millions of tuts and for some reason none of my games will load the linux. I get it on my hard drive for 007 and it does not read i have serial num 1448507 not plat edtion and then i tried the splinter cell soft mod samething and i have non plat edtion my dash is 5960.
IM also useing a modded xbox to transfer my files to memory card not ar

 

a modded xbox not ar? if your trying to put this softmod with hard mod its NOT going to work lmao.... why would you want to softmod it if you already chipped it ?

maybe its the game i'v seen sc cause trouble before... have you tried 007?

and theirs mutiple files what you get on screen? assuming if you choose sc game then you choose sc game saves... 007 game then 007 game files etc etc... you gott match...

so what you get on screen? and does the circle led turn orange?

 

i hate to beat a dead horse, but on my issue of my Missing MS dash... i found the file on the interweb, where do i save it to on my xbox (on what drive, what folder and what to call it) also should i leave it in .rar format?

 

oh ok thats fine... my question to you is why do you want a ms dash? sid 4 was scripted to fail to mod if requirements werent met such as retail ms dash and a eeprom back up since you did those you sucsusefully have it moded .... so what gives?

or am i still lost here?

 

i dont know if im just being retarded, but in UnleashX i see the option to boot up microsoft dash, and i need the MS dash to register a new XBL account. Am i not getting something obvious?

 

i understand you want to play xbox live right?

then insted of pressing the power button to load unleashx PRESS THE open tray button SO THAT THE TRAY turns on when you power ....

it should load a DIFFRENT dashboard other then unleashx .... from here the led circle should also be GREEN ..... then enjoy xbox live.

if you were to load unleash x then press ms dash you would of gotten ban . why? because your on modded mode = red = ms would find you have hacked info...

so thats why we made a dual boot=retail so 1 boot loads hacked info while the other patches everything back to normal = a safe envierment for xbox live...
