no, what happens is that no matter what i do unleashx loads, dual boot doesnt kick in, so i assume the file is corrupted or doesnt exist. i need to be able to get the green light which has recently been immpossible.

 

so when you installed it did you put dual boot=retail closed=ux?

and your saying that if you power it via open tray it loads only unleash x ?

 

exactly, and because MS dash doesnt load no matter what i do I assume it somehow got deleted.

 

ms dash is not sopose to load.

do you get like network connection or something that looks like xbox live section????

well you could uninstall it properlly by loading linux then after uninstalled try playing live then re mod it once you confimred that xbox live works

 

i did some research and i discovered my problem. Unleash for some reason, renamed msdash.xbe to xboxdash.xbe! For some reason though, when i go to try and register a new account it shows the loading bar, then the screen is black. I did change the clock to before my trial card expired (i heard from numerous respectable modding site that usually works). any ideas? think unleash renamed anything else? if you could, could someone look at the files on there C drive and tell me what they are called? file sizes would also be appreciated (you can look with the file browser).

Oh, the problems seem to be unrelenting.

P.S- i did replace xboxdash.xbe with a fresh one i downloaded, i assumed it was the same file, because they were both the exact same size. after ftp-ing the fresh one to my xbox and it didn't work, i renamed it.

i will try that but first i would like to know the contents of an average C drive. So I dont have to reinstall my mod if it isnt neccesary.

the C is shadowed C.... meaning its fake... you real C is hidden on E/udata/214/0000000000/backup/

but just uninstalll properly and check if live works then re install mod

One quick question though, I have an expired two month trial card (came with halo 2) and I heard that they still work as long as you set your xbox clock back to before the cards expired, they would work. But when I try to set up a new account, the clock appears the clock resets itself. Is there anyway to get these cards to work?

 

i dont know much into that... but hey buy a year card its like less then 5 a month... rather then bying a 3 month or month to month basis

Ok i did everything ok and all but when i tryed to get on xbox live it said i could not connect, someing about a DMS. But when i uninstalled softmod then it was fixed but now i cant even get on xbox live

you get dns not resolved right? i'v been getting reports that these game saves exploits arent working for xbox live... meaning azurius or who ever is the guy that made this tut got fuc* up downloads...
