Okay if you have ppfs and a program to apply them, finding the maps is pretty simple. You simply have to FTP to your box, and navigate through your E partition to the correct folder. I would glady help you. Post your AIM sn. Its really easy.

 

Ftp to your xbox. You can use an FTP client (such as FlashFXP) or
Internet Explorer.

(For IE: type in the adress bar : ftp://xbox:xbox@YOURIPADRESS)

Navigate to: E/TDATA/4d530064/$c

This folder contains 3 subfolders:

4d53006400000001 contains - Warlock and Containment
4d53006400000002 contains - Turf and Sanctuary
4d53006400000003 contains - Backwash, Elongation, Terminal,
Gemini, and Relic

Note: All maps are in .map format. Also, the names of some of the files do not correspond with map's actual name. Here is the names of all the maps.

Warlock - Warlock.map
Containment - Containment.map
Turf - Turf.map
Sanctuary - Deltatap.map
Backwash - Backwash.map
Elongation - Elongation.map
Terminal - Triplicate.map
Gemini - Gemini.map
Relic - Dune.map

As you can see, the map files for Sanctuary, Terminal, and Relic have
different names.

yeah i still dont understand how to do step 4... i downloaded the SID 4.0 but i dont know how to put it on the AR

 

it has to be .zipped and then run ar software and drag it to the mem card then to xbox and voila pop disc in

ok so i have all thin things installed on my xbox (SID 4.0, unleashX) but how do i get soft mods on to the programms, and how does it work? and where do i get the mods from?

 

well what are you trying to do? i think your talking about slayers... well thats history now what you need is aid 3 auto installer deluxe 3 ... it has all the programs aka apps for the xbox

you can put xbmc dvd2xbox dvdx2dangle free dvd player etc etc etc.. i do not know about the trainers to mod so dont ask about that ...

download aid 3 from www.xbox-hq.com/html and go to the fourms then look for a subject on the bottom part say auto installer deluxe 3 then click on its thread then its link and voila...

i have followed the tutorial word for word but in the end i always end up at this odd xbl screen that gives me three options that are labeled network settings, new gamertag and something else and when clicked on they do absolutly nothing. does anyone know how to fix this?

 

Just out of curisoity, what was that third option? And if something didn't work, you should simply retry the whole process. Or can you not even get to you new dash to restore the MS backup?

 

to properly uninstall softmod you load your linux with your disc and click uninstall softmod. and that dude that is worried about xbox live DO NOT WORRY thats how it is .... if you do not have a gamertag make it then when the tag is made power off and powe it back on via open tray and the circle led should be FULLY green soild then its safe to put a game and play live.....

I'm having some problems with xbox live after I installed the softmod. I switched my thing to DHCP or something and when i try to connect in halo 2 and enter in my passcode, it just stays at the same menu. I can't connect to XboxLive so plz someone help me. Also, can someone give me step-by-step instructions to FTPing to my xbox so I can put dvd2xbox on there? Ima n00b at modding so please keep it simple!

thanks for the help guys I sorted the problem, finally got it hooked to the router and set the static IP up, went into xbmc set it up there too, told it to sync to a time server and such, next time and everytime after that its booted up properly! Awesome!

 

srry guys wasnt home some days .... anyways anything works out fine you just transfering files.....

but why not just download aid 3 ? and burn it to cdr or dvdr and have the latest buid of xbmc dvd2xbox etc etc.... check hq

i think the files on this sid 4 are not working well thou they will NOT cause you ban however are causing problems to connect to xbox live... try downloading sid 4 some where else or get aid 3 and update sid 4 via sid 4.5 from aid 3.

oh n umm since you are goin to make your own transfer stuff then you need to make your own software as well ..... so this is frekin hard and stupid and maybe more expensive then just buying the ar kit
