How to Softmod with SID 4.0! Tells how to get on XBL too!

ok im buying the stuff on wensday
can i use the soft mod to play back ups from a disk not the hd
i dont like the idea of playing from hard drive
i like to play from disk
yes i have back up disk's i like to use them all
and i dont need xbox live at all i play online with kai link

is it possable to play back up disk with the soft mod?

 

of course bro you can play it off a disc ..... However put into the hard drive is 100x the enginuius 1 of the reason why everyone does it ....

with no loading or hardly any that is a huge advanage you can always delete and or ftp it to the pc incase u ran out of space just for those quick times ....

another reason is that you can burn a disc as quick as 3 mins and that it the enitre game inside.... and another one is that to make it to a disc you have to ftp from xbox to pc then find a good quality dvd disc ..>>>>> because a cdr will not fit 99% of the games lol and even if it did most dvd drives dont take it .

and so the cost of dvds and your time and not having coasters and having the game load forever is not worth it.... and ur going to scratch the disc as well

so i find it that buying a hard drive when its on sale it defo pays off ....

but first things first lets concetrate on softmoding ur box first

 

I'm having a problem FTP'ing from PC to XBOX, I need some serious one-on-one help. I softmodded my xbox using the Splinter Cell Exploit. I backed up my files and now I'm using Evox. I'm trying to use a 10/100 Dynex Switch to FTP to my Xbox. I use the same ip address and everything using Flash FXP. It says I'm connected but loses or in some cases refused the connection. I'm looking at all these tuts, and foryms but nothing seems to work. I just want to transfer Emulators and roms to it. I would appreciate if someone could help me.

 

use my ftp tut under my sig , evox is very very buggy when it comes to ftp and most csaes this is the problem . also if you set ur static to dhcp it should help but if ur connecting and disconnecting i think this is a evox issue, would recommend to switch to unleash x .

Gus, How do i set it to DCHP through EvoX? Do I just set the static IP off? And do you have an instant message name on Aim (or even yahoo)

 

read my tut to understand more but its all in the network settings man.... read tut and join that website it its more resourful for xbox related ...

Gus, I read the tutorial and performed all the actions. On my Flash FXP, It says its connected but then says its lost after a few seconds. Everything is hooked up correctly. I just can't seem to find the problem.

 

lost connection.... ey pm me ..... but go into settings and try to reset or restart ftp / network options then try to do it all again .>>> from there if it does not work then pm me ok ?

but i would replace the dashboard to ux first tho.. you can just remod it u wont loose info or you can use aid or slayers ( if anyone has slayers lol) and just overwrite the dash

u use ur accssories that u first used to softmod it >>> this is incase u want to mod it with the up to date best softmod >>> if not just burn aid 3 and change the dash ...

i think i expained how to do your backups , 2nd this is a tut for softmods 3rd its simple and easy , to back it up to ur hd pop game in run dvd2xbox ( found on aid 3) and in 10 mins u got ur game on xbox ( retail hd may or may not fit ) to back it up to a blank disc you need to put ur oem on drive ftp it and patch the iso to be Xbox iso then burn it to a blank disc and run it
