How to Softmod with SID 4.0! Tells how to get on XBL too!

Yes, I did the dual boot= retail install option for ntsc as per the tutorial. I also placed a rom into the roms folder, but it still isn't coming up under the main menu (however, the emulator is now working correctly).

I was just wondering if anyone out there knows the exact directory that you need to put the emulators in to make them show up under the main menu. Thanks again, gus!

 

sometimes they just need to be refresh kinda like a pre scan , e/Emu/roms/ here roms

so its e emu of choice and roms folder then run emu and try to search from the emu...

pretty much you have to configure the ini so it searches in E/emu/roms like so it looks for the right path , ask hq they are more resourful in xbox due to more tools and more members for xbox comunity

 

Ok. So I had the mod installed successfully as stated before, but now I have a new and much more peculiar problem. I unplugged the consaul from the outlet by my comp to move it back over near my tv, and no matter what I do (including re-installing the mod), it always boots to the default MS dash and not the modded one. Anyone know how to remedy this?

 

Sorry for the double post. I'm ready to give up for the day (frustration?) but I have tried a few other things to no avail. However, the modded dash is still present in the xbox, because I can access it through the SID installer menu's File explorer. But when I power on the xbox with no disc and the drive tray closed, it sends me to set the clock and then to the standard ms dash.

 

i mentioned the fix/solution when ms dash loads with time , but

turn on xbox set time and date turn off turn back on and see if fixed

or do the above plus hold LEFT TRIGER + RIGHT TRIGER + BLACK + START
it should load modded dash ( this is called igr IN GAME RESET) once
hack dash loads go to settings then set the proper time and date .

their is 1 more option to solution but im pretty sure 100% that the first one will work

 

Can someone verify that the platinum verson of 007 will not work for the softmod.

 

some say that it does and some say no BUT i wouldn't take my chances just get the non platunim edition its better chances ....

 

I am trying to install SID 4 with Splinter Cell and it works while I am in the game but as soon as I click on Check Points it brings up the error screen and tells me to call xbox customer service for Assitance Error Code 21 is there Anyone that can help me get past this

 

yeah sure theirs a way , properly put 2 FILES so that the linux can load so its game save plus linux then no more error 21

 

Sorry how do I properly put the two files on there I am pretty sure I have the 2 files on the memory card

 

game save progress point and the linux otherwise error 21 comes up if all files arent required . i just dont remember but isnt splite cell 1 file ???? well check well as you need all files otherwise error 21 will keep on coming , and its temporarly and it doesnt break it if this keeps on coming up

 

ok good tut but when i click on check poitns all i get is a black screen im using SID 4 wit action replay and the installer all perfect lined up wit the pics and all i get is a black screen for n/a am i doing something wrong i followed ure tut excatly. i have tryed sid 2 itools krayzie almost everything. plz help

 

if you get this issue on most mods then you can either be using an old ms dash or the game and mod tools dont match ( diffrent region or platinum hits) theirs several things to be determine

 

ya i have the new dash wit the xbox live and im dlin the NTSC non platinum SC and its not working

 

ok so ur ntsc non platinum and getting a black screen all of times when ever you get sid 4 ( both files) and proper ones?

 

Ok so I got past the point where I was having a problem and now I have ran into a second problem I try to back up the MS Dash but it tells me there were modded files found if this is a problem is there a way to remove the modded files so that I can continue forward

 

yes im using the NTSC and non platinum im using the most recent versoins of the dler and profile (1.3 and 1.7)

I installed SID correctly and I have a red light, I was told it is normal ad I can change it. How do I do so in EvoX?
