HOW TO SOFTMOD XBOX EXPLAINED AGAIN FOR LAZY PEOPLE

It is a .zip see if there is a UDATA folder in the save. If there is, try extracting it to a folder(right click, then select extract to (what ever the name of the file is such as mech.zip to folder called mech) then open the folder and select the UDATA folder and select zip as UDATA.zip. Then try it and see if it works. If not, there must be something wrong with the save(try downloading it using Limewire since thats where I had got mine from and then I removed it because I didn't want to take a chance of screwing up my XBOX) just type in [Xbox Softmod] in the programs section. then scan it with what ever you use to scan files to make sure there is no viruses (if it is a .exe, don't try it. Just download the .zip or .rar files and they should have the saves inside them with a last name of .zip if they are in another zip file, if it says UData, then just try putting it on the memory card. MAKE SURE THAT IT IS ENGLISH! Don't install any other language unless you can read it. If it is .rar file, and it has a UDATA folder inside it just extract it and zip it using win zip because .rar is not supported.

 

But I wouldn't soft mod since like I said before, it can and probably will screw up your Xbox and then you will end up with a door stop.

Gizmo73O, you will need the slayers 2.6 to back to normal your x-box, if you softmodded first get this slayers and then AIM meeeee yomandin

 

Any kind of moding is not really good and shouldn't be done.

 

softmods can't be undone if something goes wrong, and a modchip gets currupt, it can screw up your xbox.

 

i was wondering do u need to copy the linux program onto ur xbox or can u load it from the memory unit. i recently messed up my xbox and it has error 21 and dont know wat to do it lets me play real games but it has to be in there already, and it wont let me get into any dash. if u know how to solve please help

 

ok im SOOOOO confused.... i downloaded the linux installer and the other linux thing from romans link http://www.xbox-tribe.com/pafiledb.php?action=file&id=829 (and put everything on my xbox hard drisk using AR). then i put in MA and clicked campaign, then clicked run linux. it come up with this COMPLETELY RANDOM thing that says "Your Xbox requires service please call our customer service." then says it in other languages and in the left top hand corner it says the number "21" for some reason..... PLEASE HELP ME, WHAT DID I DO WRONG OR NOT DO!!

 

So many people are having problems when they try to mod there xboxs, i don't think i am going to do it..... I thkni am goin to bridge (you cant mess up your box)....

OK i am new to this, however i would like to to lean as much as possible so therefor i have been searching sites alot, yet i have yet to find any info for softmods on an x-box that already has a mod chip. I am in Iraq and bought an xbox here with a mod chip in it and unleashX (the Iraqy version i think) already on it. Dose anyone know a way to soft mod it and put something else on and take that off.. it has it's original hard drive and the only thing different is the chip ... do i need a usb adapter? or any other hardware. If someone could please shine some light on this for me i would be ever so greatful.

If your xbox is modchipped there would be no reason to softmod because it is already modded. if you are asking how to make the dashboard into english you should look into removing and reinstalling your dashboard with something like a slayer disc which you could search on this site and find.

 

I was wondering if I would have any problems soft-modding a green halo xbox, I think they are version 1.4 but I don't really know. Could anyone give a link to a good linux installer for the halo xbox if there is one. I was also wondering if I softmod it with evox dashboard and then uninstall it after will I still be banned off xbox live. Thanks.

Can you send me the direct link to the unrar thing please it would be helpful.....One more thing.....I have Action Replay Max....when i get ready to download a desired mod....it does say rar file....and i donload it...i don't know what it means.....and then i try to drag it over to my Action Replay Max window the memory card part....an it says " this is not a valid xbox save " <<<<<< what do i do?
