I think for most broadband users getting Fasterfox http://fasterfox.mozdev.org/ and placing it on Optimized would be the best choice for improved speeds with little hassle and not as much strain on servers as Turbo Charged would cause. I would also try enabling the Enhanced Prefetching checkbox to show a lot of loading improvement for past-seen sites.
Just thought that I would add this one: a great tool for backing up your FF user profile: BackupFox available here http://www.neowin.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=291258

I just tried Bon Echo.... It is the new firefox But i lost all my extensions when i used it so I'm sticking with my current version
Bon Echo is somewhat of a code name.....uh, sorta like Longhorn before it was Vista. If you want more info on it just let me know I will post it. I also could not use some of my extensions (I guess I should of posted that you might loose them) but im ok with that as I tend to test them all and do not use them. @-Schwaber- You use bandwith everytime you access the internet.
lol.. Thanks. Now that I know it, its very stupid of me to ask that.. haha, can't believe that it was as simple as that.

Maybe somehow someway when firefox updated your firewall may have blocked firefox from connect to the internet. Check your firewall to check. Also, here are previous versions of firefox. Post back and let me know if everything is working. http://mozilla.isc.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/releases/
here is 1.5 http://mozilla.isc.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/releases/1.5/win32/en-US/Firefox Setup 1.5.exe If you want an earlier version let me know. Here is a how it works, 1. Pick a version you want 2. Select Win32 (Windows 32-bit) 3. Select en-US (English-US) 4. Select Firefox Setup 1.5.exe (or whatever the .exe version is)
