i have a mkv video vile. i dont know if im allowed to say were i got it from. anyway when i open the file in classic media player i can take off the subtitles. However, when i got to burn it there are subtitles on it and it says that there are no subtitles on. anyone know how i can get rid of the subtitles to burn? thanks
One way I have used: Load the .mkv into VirtualDubMod. Click 'Streams' 'Stream List' Highlight the Matroska text stream and click 'Disable' [hatch marks appear through stream list] then 'ok'. Click 'Video' 'Direct Stream Copy' then 'File' 'Save As..' Select 'save as MKV type' with a new name. The file is saved without recompressing, minus the sub stream. VirtualDubMod http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=65889 Note: if you want a copy of the subs from the video, highlight the text stream and click 'Demux'. It saves the .srt file to the chosen location.
