    Hi Guys

Is this the correct null cable?

    DB9 Female DB9F 9pin RS232 Serial Null Modem 2m Cable
    From ebay - http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/DB9-Female-DB...hash=item180262305422&_trksid=p3286.m14.l1318

I reason why i am asking is that i saw a post from a member saying there is two different type.

Update: I just googled that part number you quoted and it would appear to be a regular serial cable and NOT a null modem, so now you know what your problem is.
    http://www.maplin.co.uk/Search.aspx?criteria=L68BT&DOY=5m4 is what you have.

This is what you need: http://www.maplin.co.uk/Module.aspx?Modu...0modem&doy=17m4

Please can anyone confirm if the cable from the ebay link is the correct one. Thanks

    Hi all,
I'm still having problems getting the channels back on my Eurovox MaxV. I have connected it to the direct nthell feed, done a clear data & factory reset. It has a good signal strength 80%+ & picks up most of the channels on a rescan but does not pick up any stations.
    Any ideas?

    Hi Guys,

I recently purchased the null cable from ebay
    http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/DB9-Female-DB9F-9-...idZp1638Q2em127

but it does not detect the box when i tried to update the fireware. I have checked in device manager and the com port1 is listed on one of the list. Please can someone advise.

    Thanks

no bother i'm confusing myself you should not need a cd with that if you have a serial port on your pc what firmwre are you using and which box have you?

I am using a Eurovox Max V box and the fireware is UFL_MaxV_Kuro3_10_04_08.

Is the cable definately the correct one? It does say Null cable so i really dont know what is wrong and why it is not detecting the box once i pluged it in on standby.
