Hey this is DkDuPeX with yet another problem

this time its upgrading... i want to fix up my pc it it felt like yesterday when it was the lord of computers, but now im having trouble with compatibility.

I need to upgrade my processot ive got a LGA775 socket at the moment i have a Pentium 4 516 2.93 GHZ, As a chipset i have a Intel 915GV Graphics Memory and Controller Hub, My MOBO is a Goldfish3-GL8E or an ASUS PTGD-LA as you may call it. i have 512 mb of ram (2 sticks of 256), a hard drive of 200 gb of space sata.

What i want to know is
    - Can i upgrade my PC in any way
    - Can I get PCI Express on it if so how
    - Can i get a 975X Express chipset?
    - What is the fastest processor that my system can work with and do i need a bios update
    - Can i get a mobo without a video card and still run my pc?
    - Can i upgrade my chipset?
    - If i can upgade this stuff then how much will it cost me?
    - I know its completely off topic but what exactly does a chipset do
    - Can i get DRR3?
    - Does this PC have any wow factor or is it a peice of crap?
    - I found a mobo that has PCI-e but i dont know if its compatible the ASUS PTGD-LA Puffer2-UL8E

    thanks in advance
