    @Garmoon

    A little OT here, but i don't think Circuit Shit*y is on their way out as well.

    @RTM

    I think you'll dig Firefox. And being free of pop ups is nice too. :)

    I have to stick with IE7 unfortunately because of business purposes and the business software used only integrates with IE . I don't post here often anymore but i read quite a bit , but now these ad's are getting to the point that i don't even want read things here anymore . I miss the old AD when i didn't get slammed with ad's everytime i came here . ohwell

    Do people EVER take the advice they are given? firefox and adblock plus.. you can run noscript too if you want. All popups vanish, and you can even kill that topic sidebar.

    @Varnull, that little topic sidebar can be closed via the little 'x' in the top right corner of it...

    I killed it completely.. haven't even seen it's little "x" since I worked out which frame it was and stopped it loading ;) I took the java apart when it was giving everybody problems when it was new.. Somehow I don't think the bosses liked me posting the iframe and java layouts so we could block it. You can do funny things with a browser once you understand how a page is built and displayed.. I can make that frame persistent within my screen borders if I want.

    jack posted an extract from my screenshot ;)

    Personally, i've had zero issues with this crap at home, where i use...you guessed it! Firefox with ABP.

    Sadly, i have to use IE at work. Have not had any issues recently though.

    I have not seen a pop up in ages thanks to firefox, but those screen shots seem like they are a bit less intrusive than the old ones. it is as if they are part of the same window, it seems?

    Well, that's good to know -- I do think IE gets an unfair rap at times.
