Pop ups are back again, but sporadic in timing (distance in time between pop ups). Saw Circuit City and Vonnage and Trane and XM.

I finally experienced the assault of the pop-up ad's today.
Man that Circuit City ad was big.

No sporadic timing - every time I clicked on a link from the email notification there was the Circuit City ad.
That was using IE6 at work - I've never had them running Firefox.

glad you got to see them miss b. well the holiday in the us is over now and they are still going strong. so what gives? are they trying to give us the run around? maybe they should make themselves aware that alot of users of this site "know alot of things" and it would "be in their best interest" to remove the pop up. lol.

Have you tried IE yet ddp?
That's the time I got them. Running that and accessing my email from Comcast's site.

    @homesick
I use outlook and Firefox. When you install Firefox it will ask you if you want to import your favorites and from which browser(s) if memory serves me. Then set Firefox as your default browser & all links in emails will open in FF.

edit - never mind ddp just saw you are running IE6 :)

You know what I mean. I don't just use it to kill ads.
I don't like seeing them at home, but believe.. I see them enough on call because I use AD as my reference page load site for browser setup tests.

hsbc are a skanky bank.. I have had some very bad experiences with them X(

I haven't had any problems with the ads, even though they were there, but in the last two days they pop out without warning just as I'm getting ready to click a link and I'm unwittingly forced to click the banner and thusly redirected to the ad site that I've just clicked. woe is me.

    *sighs*

Ah...the return of the pop-out ads.

Do the advertising agencies really think these inspire peope to use their products and services? If so, i scoff in their face. If anything, this is a deterrent from said products and services.

    EDIT:
XM Radio can be added to the list of pop-out ads. Just got hit with that one. Didn't get a screenshot of it though.

Circuit City, Lennox, Sirius and HBSC have all got me today....if you open the page the pop-out is there you don't have to get anywhere close to it.

LOL, I know right! If I ever encounter a pop-up, I'm not like, "Oh wow, look at this new printer from HP, I think I'm going to buy one now.", GET LOST POP-UPS!

I still haven't seen one yet.

Notice how were not complaining about them now... We have grown accustomed to them like the ugly step child...

Let's see how big we can make this thread before the popups go away. ;)
