I'm in the UK, running latest FF2 + AdBlock Plus and having no problems.

I've disabled it for "forums.afterdawn.com" for now, just for a laugh - I wonder if I'll get hit by the ads? x)

And Jan, I bank with HSBC so stfu xP

Yeah I ventured on here at work today - I was actually showing a coworker something and I was slammed with the popups - very annoying.
    My coworker was like wtf?
Needless to say the popup ads drove me away - I actually had to work :)

Well the ads drove me back to being a productive employee.
Then again that can be open for interpretation :)

I received the same pop up. Both with Safari and Firefox...

Really? I've never had the ads pop-out at home, where i run Firefox. It's only while i'm at work running IE that i get them.

I don't see any ads at all with Firefox at home.

Looks like the ads may be gone, I usually use FF 2.0.0.14 w. Adblock Plus enabled but recently I have kept it disabled just to see what companies advertise on aD.

The "popups" haven't been an issue for me, even when I surfed the forums and the news articles with IE 7 to see if I could get popups to occur.

If something happens and I see a popup ad I will be sure to screen shot it with a mouse-over so the initial link maybe exposed.

For me the pop ups are sporadic, but all over the place.

Seems like they're gone for a while, then they're back again. Very sporadic indeed.

Today, almost every pop up is a "big" pop up. Worst than ever with new pop ups, besides the regulars.

Righty.. I think I need to investigate these.. Trouble is when I disable my blocks I bet that damn java monster will return to haunt me ;)

Righty.. lets see if my default browser settings will show me these annoying things.. I still have "load images from originating site only" enabled.

    Investigate away Varnull.

So far i've yet to have one on my home PC's. At work, they're prevalent enough that if i minimize aD, they'll pop out on my ADP window. Get's in the way of vehicle repair estimates. :D

Nope.. 24 hours and not a one. the only thing I still have sort of blocked is doubleclick... they must be targetted somehow by ip or something... or my standard browser settings are still keeping them out.

Will have a go with a different browser and see what happens.

Tried kazehakase, galeon and epiphany... nothing bad apart from the fista hotword window refused to go away with galeon. I must say tho.. there is one hell of a lot of advertising on these pages.. 100 ads blocked on one page alone. Most of it seems to be microsux too. Funny. there is an ad for a popup service shylock thing and a popup blocker right next to each other in one of my screenshots..

Sites with too much advertising aren't good.. I don't like being constantly bombarded with junk I have no interest in buying... They are called annoyances for a reason eh? I didn't realise how bad this had got until earlier.

edited using epiphany no problems with popups at all.. anywhere.. use a decent browser.. if you can't do that then avoid the place if they annoy you.

I haven't used Epiphany for the longest time (no reason really). But since then i've pretty much only used Firefox & Opera & haven't suffered one single pop-up. I keep telling this lot to avoid IE but they won't :)
(well apart from 7thsinger who is forced to use IE at work).

Update on this issue. The whole episode started in bad time, as I have been on holidays (and yes, I _dont_ take my emails with me on hols :) and havent had a chance to communicate back and forth with our ad rep company. Basically they replied us while I've been away with something like "Ok, we can pull them if you want, but you'll lose some extra revenue if you do this. So are you sure?" And didn't receive reply until 5 mins ago -- first time I've been on computer for last ~10 days :) But yes, now they got the confirmation from us that yes, they should pull the ads. Lets hope it finally gets sorted now.

Many thanks for the update dRD...as well as putting us lowly users in front of a bit of regular cash flow. It's appreciated greatly.
