    Hi all,

I have an HTC Hero in the UK with Orange. Last year I jailbroke my phone and installed the MoDaCo 3.1 custom ROM. It has been a bit glitchy since then and with the release (finally) of the Android update for the Hero I decided I would downgrade back to Donut in order to then upgrade to Eclair. However my computer does not recognise it! When I plug it in nothing comes up saying "New Device Found" or whatever, in fact all it does is momentarily disconnect anything else I have connected via USB at the time. It is really frustrating as I cannot do anything about the ROM on the phone! I have tried with multiple machines running both 7 and Vista with no luck.

    Anyone got any ideas?

    Ta

If you have a custom recovery flashed, then download a new rom package via your phone and flash it from there.
