i cant get proper download for starview box

cheers. wot r the little green signs on each channel? looks like a dollar sign, do i leave it on stand by at nite?will i lose any channels?

 

they are just channel encripted signs, nothin to worry about.
if u leave it on standby it will be ok.
but if the keys change u will have to manually input them because u havnt got the new software on it.

 

will u let me know if the keys change?

 

yea no prob. but u would be better off coming onto the forum if ur box goes down as sombody will have posted them by then !

 

my starview box has went down any ideas why?

 

got it was there a key change for ntl?

well my box was down, looked at the ntl keys they were different from mine. wot about this flash do u need it + is it required? how do u do it? have u got 2 do it. my box is fine again, after i changed the keys.

Make sure you have a genuine box before you put the v4.00 on it as if you have a clone it will kill it check the box first

18 vents ==clone

25 vents == genuine

13 vents == first gen box ok let us all know

 

how do i do the flash on my star view i dont understand it,not very technical. do u need any plugs r anything like that?

 

wot r jkeys how do i get them + also v4.00 was is that? do i need anything for it?can u tell me how 2 flash my starview as the codes keep changing,cheers lads.

 

first you need the v4.00 if you have a genuine box

second you need gtrom loader to load the firmware

third you need null modem cable

and you do not need jkeys this is for dead boxes

and the tutorial for flashing is there as well

all available on the eko site download to your pc and read before you do anything ok

 

i've got a genuine box, i have a rs-232 cable is that the right one, is it easy to do?i'm a learner on this thing.

will thers232 do the job? if so the last time i tried to download software to my box the gtloader wouldnt work, says cant open serial port is this different? bear with me mate i'm a beginner, what is v4?

 

v4 is the firmware for the box you need the cable i sent you the link for this is the only one that will work download all the other stuff and read then come back

 

mainman wot do i go into in starview is it software or firmare for the flash, my box keeps changing codes,also skysports wasnt going rite at all, the rest were ok. can u tell me wot to look under is it starview.pdf for the flash, i dont have a clue as u know. cheers giggsy
