Thank you for the reply but both left click as well as right clicking on the file in the MY DOCS or in Win Explorer bring up the error message. It may not be worth pursuing this much longer because the file can be opened and worked with if i work from the NERO or PINNACLE applications. Whether the authored and burned DVD works may still turn out to be another problem. It just really bugs me when something doesnt seem right. Thanks again, yrnehbad

Thank you creaky, that is what i meant. I have no trouble creating the jpeg (photoshop) but at 71 i'm a little too impatient (and dumb maybe?) to do everything after step6. Anyway the error message which i wanted to post is not much different from what i posted in the thread. Thanks again, Yrnehbad
ok, no worries. all that step was saying is to do this - but miss out the asterisks - [*img]<insert your link here>[/*img] - the asterisks are in there just so we can read how to do it on screen
